One of Charlotte's newest parks, Romare Bearden has fantastic location in Uptown Charlotte. It's a great destination or a fun stop as part of a day spent in Uptown. The park features frequent activities including weekly concerts on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer.
Visit Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites or take out a stack of children’s books after listening to Storytime. The permanent exhibits feature life in and around Charlotte. You might want to take in a performance by the Children’s Theater of Charlotte, so look for tickets before you head Uptown.
Enjoy the indoor and outdoor experience of the Discovery Place Nature Museum. Explore the indoor exhibits and then take the time to play in Fort Wild. When you’re finished at the museum, take the quick walk over the bridge to Freedom Park to continue the fun.
